STREETS TO ISLAM (drama)

Streets To Islam is based upon the true story chronicling the life of Ashley Robinson from leader of one of the most infamous gangs in South London – The SMS (South Man Syndicate) to finding his true calling in life and converting to Islam. A born fighter, Ashley will have to learn how to leave the physical war in the streets to fight a new spiritual battle – including all the perceived stereotypes that come with embracing his new religion and those that challenge his freedom.


A BED OF THORNS (drama/love story).

Directed by Nick Nevern. Producers: Natalie Laird-Fox and Jason Maza. Cast (correct as of 2nd October 2009) – Leo Gregory, Babita Poohoomull, Jason Maza, Nick Nevern, Fraser Ayres “A Bed of Thorns” tells the story of a group of ‘self-harmers’ led by the mysterious, yet charming Carl Piper (Leo Gregory). His latest and tenth member is social outcast Dominic Jones (Nick Nevern), who just as he begins to feel a sense of belonging among the group things begin to go drastically wrong. A love triangle ensues when Dominic and Carl’s girlfriend Priyanka (Babita Poohoomull) fall for each other and suddenly the group begins to unravel with devastating consequences. Ultimately “A Bed of Thorns” is a love story, where our characters must learn to love themselves and confront their inner demons in order to move forward with their lives.


TOY COPS (action/adventure/drama).

Directed by Arun Kumar. Producers: Michael Harvey Cast (correct as of 2nd October 2009): Michael Harvey, Aml Ameen, Ashley Walters Toy Cops tells the story of two down on their luck community support officers who resent each other with a passion. Forced to work together they stumble upon and apprehend one of the biggest drugs cartel the UK has ever seen. Suddenly our ‘Toy Cops’ are propelled as national heroes and quickly enjoy the trappings that come with being ‘celebrities’. However trouble is on the horizon – The drugs ring they smashed belongs to notorious and feared gangster, ‘Charlie ‘White’, and he wants his merchandise back-hand delivered to his abode in Costa Brava. With their families and lives at stake our two ‘Toy Cops’ must walk on the wrong side of the law, a task made all the more difficult when ‘The Librarian’ (Ashley Walters) is hired to track them down. ‘Toy Cops’ is a hilarious story with a moral centre, a motion picture which is sure to bag a few laughs and thrill its audiences.


COUSIN’S HOUSE (TV – Comedy talkshow).

Producers: Georgina Bobb, Stefan Jones, Nisha Bowen COUSIN’S HOUSE is the most popular house on the street consisting of a larger-than-life Afro-Caribbean family. ‘Something’s always happening at Cousin’s House’. Everybody that comes into COUSIN’S HOUSE is referred to using the affectionate term ‘cuz’. Cousin’s House is a comedy talkshow where celebrities turn up uninvited to be interviewed in a fun and entertaining environment.


HALF TIME HUSTLE (drama)

Half Time Hustle tells the story of Calvin Carmichael and his fall from grace. He was the most sought after young footballer but now he is a street hustling, good-for-nothing Sunday league player. Calvin is neck-deep in match fixing and will stop at nothing to get back to the top and everybody is dispensable. However through new friendships, hardship and the love of a woman his views slowly begin to change. Calvin is ultimately faced with a gripping choice, save himself or make the ultimate sacrifice. If Calvin is to grow he must learn that football is not more important than life or death.
